The Climate Change Challenge Alan Betts, April 13, 2018 Increasing greenhouse gases are driving climate change globally, and locally in Vermont. Weather extremes are increasing, both in winter and from summer storms. Long-term, only the transformation of our energy system will slow the pace of climate change. In the short-term, human and natural ecosystems are faced with adaptation. This talk will review the scientific and social issues.
